M absolutely loves these socks.  She wears them whenever she gets a chance to.  But boy she is miss-matched. :)

Conversation Hearts are my absolute favorite candy out of all the holidays we have.  Today I decided to introduce my daughter to them.  She absolutely loved them!

Spoiled Cat

Joy is a very spoiled cat!  Especially in the AM when I flip on the gas fireplace to get the chill out of the air.

Reminissing

In March 2010 we went to Disney.  The kids had a blast and it was definatly memorable for them...especially for my son, C.

It was our first full day at Disney and we went to Epcot.  That evening we went to Le Cellier for dinner (VERY highly recommend by the way).  After dinner we stuck around for the fireworks.  During the fireworks, C started crying and I couldnt figure out why.  When we got back to the room we noticed something REALLY different. 

 He lost his first tooth!  This was taken the next day.  I think its so neat that he will have a wonderful story to go with him losing his first tooth.  How many kids can say they lost their first tooth at Disney on their first day watching the fireworks.   It was even the first tooth he got in when he was younger.
They grow up too fast.

Also another, M's bed.
Her bed is almost as old as I am.  It was my bed when I was a child.  It has a metal canopy that goes on the top, but its home in my Daddy's shop.

It turned into a family affair.  Sanded it down to get ready to put a nice coat of paint on it.

Fun Times

Yesterday, M made her bed!  She was sooo proud of herself.

Too bad it was like 20 min before bedtime.

Today I decided to pull out some material and try to do something with it.  My cat Joy also decided to get in on the action too.  Silly cat.  She's 9 and still acts like at kitten!

Today I went up to Raleigh to try and find a new coat.  While I was there I paid my FAVORITE burrito place ever. Chipotle!  <3 yum.

Just because...

Once in a while, its nice to have a glass of wine. 

...I tried to fix my coat this morning that I washed....and failed.  I still like my $11 sewing bucket and guess I get to go shopping for a new winter coat!!

Sorry I have not posted.  I forgot last night and today I was pretty busy.  I'll make up for it tomorrow.

Favorite Things: C

C's favorite things are construction "trucks", Rudolph, Hot Wheels, Nerf gun, Tn Titans, his "goggy" and his green blanket. C is obsessed with anything that goes planes, trains, cars, trucks, you name it.  When we lived in housing on post and they literally put a parking lot in our back yard, I had a built in babysitter.  He would sit on his toy box for hours watching the big equipment do their jobs.
Rudolph- This Rudolph was his very first Christmas Gift the year he was born.
Nerf Gun-  A new favorite of his.  He plays with it pretty much daily.
TN Titans- He was born on a Monday night, the Titans were playing (they lost), the anesthesiologist had a Titans cap on, and he was born less than 3 miles from the Titans Stadium at the hospital that treats the Titans. lol!  My baby has been a Titans fan since day 1!
His "goggy"- He thinks that its lost.  This was a gift from my sister at my baby shower.  We wrapped him in it pretty much since the day he was born and up until right before his birthday last year, he always slept with it or lounged around the house with it.  Now his replacement is the green blanket.

Favorite Things: Amy

I wanted to do C's favorite things, but he's already in bed.  So keeping with the theme, here are a few of mine.

This picture is hanging in our "breakfast area".  When I first saw it, it was hanging in a bathroom at Hobby Lobby in Madison, TN (a small town outside of Nashville).  This picture has a verse in my favorite chapeter in the Bible.  I bought it on clearance for under $20.00.

This is a few of my favorite things.  My NKJV Bible, picture of my Kids, Nephew and Neice, sewing patterns, ipod, scrapbook stuff, paint brush, paint stick with paint on it, and hand lotion.  
My Bible- I find peace, strength, and wisdom in it especially over the past year.
Picture of my Kids, Nephew and Neice- I love them all.  Not only is being a Mom rewarding, but being an Aunt is fun.  I look forwad to spending more time with them.
Sewing patterns, scrapbook stuff and paint brush- Just a few of the many crafts I like to do.  The top sewing pattern with the Gingerbread on them has a special meaning because I really like my gingerbread men.
My ipod- It has all sorts of music on it.  Darius Rucker, Toby Mac, Beckah Shae, Skillet, Manafest, Tal & Acacia, Hawk Nelson, the list is endless.  Now I just need to take the time and put my favorite songs from my CD's on them.  Even have church services on it.  Yep.  I'm a music junkie.  Always have been.
Paint stick- This is a color I created from mis-tints when I worked at Lowes.  I also love painting walls.  Hopefully in the near future I will be painting my bathroom that green color. :)
I cant forget my hand lotion.  I always have some kind of hand lotion with me at all times.
There are more favorite things that I have, but these are the ones I had close by.

After telling my kids to pick their rooms up, I noticed alot of the things that were on the floor are M's favorite things. 

Movie Night and Basket Party

Today M and I ventured out to do some "window shopping".  I know its strange but I enjoy it.  I have been using a "cooler" bag that I use when I do my clean eating for my basket party. Well long story short, I found the perfect bag for it!  On top of it, it was in the $1 bins at Target!!! 

Then decided to have a little fun.....with Lenny. Because he's cute!

Then its Movie night at our house.  Cats & Dogs  The Revenge of Kitty Galore  Clean kiddos and their big awesome pillows!

I've seen it all now!  Microwavable Pork Rinds in a package like mircowavable popcorn!

Ice!!

Today while breaking all the ice off the driveway and trying to keep from busting my butt, at one point the way it looked I thought it would be such a neat picture.  After I was done, I went into the backyard and looked at the wagon my kids filled with snow.  You got it!  Solid ice. It was interesting though!

My Fur Babies

I love my 4 legged kids!  I have a cat named Joy and a dog named Dizzy.  When I took this picture, joy had just got off the couch and Dizzy took it over.

SNOW!!!

My kids woke up all estatic about there being more snow!  In the 4 1/2 years we have been here, this is the most it has snowed this early into the winter months!!!    My kids had a blast.  They literally threw themselves down in the show and started making snow angels.  It was awesome!!

Three Things

Today there are 3 things that matter to my youngest, M.  Those three things are anything Tinkerbell, her baby, and her Titans sweatshirt. 

Thinking of Home

Tonight I was going through the pictures I have on my computer ran across one of the precious pictures of my kids.  It was taken in July of last year when the kids and I were visiting our family back home in TN.  When its just us, we stay at my parents house.  The smaller bed is in my old bedroom and in my sisters room is the bigger bed.  The kids sleep in the bigger bed.  One night as I do everynight, I went in to check on them.  This was too precious pass up.  I know its not current and from today, but I have to share it.

M has her pink blanket near by and C has his current green blanket and his yellow blanket with the blue designs on it.  The yellow blanket was given to us when I was pregnant with him and he loves it so much.  Even to this day.  I eventually want to so something special with it so he will always have it.  His "goggy".

Love Getting Pampered!!!

Its not very often I do get pampered, but its sure nice when you do!  Thanks to Leila at Mopheads, I have a nice style again!!!  Its so nice to find a good cosmetologist!

So since we put the Christmas stuff in the attic, I decided to have J pull the "keepsakes" box down for me.  Inside that box I have a few of my old outfits in there from when I was a kid.
I put a few of these things on my daughter M tonight and wow there is such a difference between us!

These were my absolute favorite pants (now shorts!).  They are a 4 slim....we cant fasten them in the front for nothing.
Now this...is a timeless pic.  This is a picture of me about my 3rd birthday.

And this is my daughter in the same dress....minus the tomato soup.

She is sooo much bigger than I was at her age.

I'm sitting here eating some of my homemade salsa chopped up by my new food processor.  Oh my how I've missed it since my old food processor broke!  I'm even dreaming of eating tonights leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Crazy Days

You know those days where everything is not going the way you planned?  Yep..one of those days.  I wish there were more hours in the day.  Successful things include making my menu, grocery list, pantry and fridge cleaned out, all dishes done, and M is resting peacefully with her ear infection.  

Time to get back to Clean Eating and working out!  Tomorrow is day 1.  I'm looking forward to taming my tastebuds again!

Day 2....

I am soo behind, I should really do this earlier in the evening. haha
Boy my house is a mixture of scents. The 20 Scentsy Bring Back my Bar scents are in bead containers ready to be samples!  Thank goodness for 3 warmers going at once or else I would still be at it.

Now I just need to label them.

Happy New Year!

This may show up as being on the 2nd, but I did start on the first.  After a long drive and finally getting a few neccessities for the house, we are home from TN.  It was so hard leaving today.  It was a little too short.

We got "home" on Tuesday and Christmas round 2 at my Parents house which I scored another Titans shirt!  Wednesday was Christmas round 3 at my Grandma's house and that evening round 4 at J's parents house.  So much goes on when we go home.  Thursday night my sister, nephew and neice joined us at Opryland Hotel.  In a way, I was suprised at how many places they have put in to eat at since the Flood in May 2010.  They use to have this restaurant that was on a lazy susan type of thing that is no longer there.  Its amazing how some of it has changed and what has not changed.  Either way, the kids enjoyed theirselves soo much.  My sister and I remember having so much fun and being so amazed at everything when we were kids also.  My nephew C now has a new buddy in his Uncle J.

Here is one of many I got at Opryland.  I'll post a few more later.  This was in May when the storm waters flooded TN.
